| Your Money Trek & Medgar Evers College are proud to announce our first annual Brooklyn Financial Symposium: Family Financial Fitness Day. Medgar Evers College was chosen as the symposium site because of its strong committment to education and also because of the strong presence of West Indians and African Americans in the Brooklyn community. Your Money Trek longs to help empower both groups. The symposium will take place at Medgar Evers College on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Families (teens, young adults, parents) and entrepreneurs will benefit from a productive day of fun and learning. Teens will learn about money management in a fun, engaging and practical manner. Adults will learn about money, credit, banking, and what it means to be financially fit. Entrepreneurs will learn how to build a business plan and business with the right foundation and processes in place, as well as how to market and manage the necessary cash flow needed to operate a business. The symposium will feature three tracks to introduce money management to the entire family at the Brooklyn Financial Symposium: Family Financial Fitness Day. This symposium is free of charge, but registration is still required, since space is limited for each of the tracks, please register today to secure your spot. Children must be 12 or older in order to attend the symposium. |
