AUTHOR

Stacia M. Morris, author of Teen Money 101.

Stacia Morris' passions are speaking, teaching and working with numbers. Overall, she is very passionate about helping people to have the best possible quality of life. One way she does this, is through encouraging ongoing education and teaching on finances with businesses, retirees, women's groups and teens.

Morris holds a post-MBA Certificate in Accounting, an MBA from Pace University, and a BA in Economics from the University of the West Indies. She also holds the financial and insurance certifications for a Financial Advisor (series 6,,63, and 65).

Her diverse professional background includes global leasing, finance, consulting, information technology strategy and complex project management. She spent the majority of her corporate career at IBM Corporation in a variety of positions, and still in corporate America, her passions are public speaking and providing financial advice to people of all ages.

Civic duties have long been a part of Morris's mantra to "give back." Her volunteer activities have included: classroom teaching, Career Day lectures for Junior Achievement, teaching for the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC), appearing as a panelist at Pace University Career Center, Treasurer of the Board of Directors at the Greenwich, CT YWCA, membership of the United Way of Greenwich Allocations Committee as a teacher for Literacy Volunteers of America, and teaching English as a Second Language. Stacia believes that teaching others is never in vain.
Ms. Morris recently became the first Pace University alumna to speak at a Pace University Commencement. This was fitting, since she is a perpetual learner and considers herself a life-long student.
